Keune History
It all started back in 1922 when the pharmacist Jan Keune of Amsterdam became increasingly fascinated with curly hair. At the time Jan ran a drugstore with his wife, all while experimenting and producing hair products of his own. In 1922 most people were curling their hair by heating curling irons over gas burners, so when Jan managed to develop a formula for permanent liquid it became a runaway success! In 1925 Keune Haircosmetics was born when Jan officially changed his drugstore to the now famous name.
