I could not be happier that summer has finally arrived. Concerts, street fests, golf and sun…sign me up!
 
Back by popular demand this June and August is our Second Annual Liter Style Sale. The Liter Style Sale is a two-month period where we run all our retail facing liters of shampoo and conditioner at 20% off, which gives our salons the option to also run a liter sale or benefit from a margin savings on back bar items.
 
We saw great results with the salons that got behind the sale in 2015. I’ve always been a fan of doing a salon-wide liter sale either once or twice a year for a few reasons:
 
The Benefits of a Well-Stocked Clientele
If a client purchases a liter, they won’t be in need of shampoo or conditioner when they come back for their next service, leaving an opportunity for them to purchase and experience another product that they may have not bought before.
 
Client Appreciation
The limited-time value buy gives clients a sense of appreciation on products they cannot find elsewhere, building loyalty to the salon and stylist. Salons can spin this as a “Client Appreciation” or “Client Loyalty” sale.
 
New Business Opportunity
Running a major sale like this keeps the salon talking about shampoo more than normal. Stylists may feel more comfortable bringing up the sale to clients who may have not been previously purchasing from the salon. Even if the clients don’t take advantage of the special savings on liters, they may purchase a retail size for the first time.
