What’s your favorite product from ColorProof?

What's the newest, freshest approach you're bringing to education?

“I don’t like to talk at, I like to include. When I can, I put the chairs in a circle with me in the middle when I’m doing a class. It creates a conversation. I make the class about the participants and tailor it to what they want to learn.

I like to use analogies to help stylists and clients understand. When I talk about the HumidityRx Anti-Frizz Weatherproof Spray, I explain how it’s the very last thing you should spray on your hair—even after hairspray—because it acts as a shield or a biodome against humidity.”

What’s the next skill you want to cross off your list?

“I’m constantly having to learn social media. That is something that the educators and stylists of my age group must keep up with, too. There are educators and stylists my age that have amazing skill sets but are five steps behind in their social media skills and they get left behind.”

Advice for stylists?

“You can have creativity, but you need to manage that creativity so you can direct that creativity. There’s a difference between seeing a vision and understanding how to implement it.”
